Gabi Gregg Launches Latest Swimwear Collection

January 9, 2018~ Plus Size Swimwear, Style

Gabi Gregg has been one of my favorite plus size bloggers for a long long time. She came unto the seen way before it was cool to have your own blog. Ever since she has been breaking barriers for the plus size community, from her swimwear collection with Swimsuits for All, to her recently launched fashion line Premme.

Today Gabi launched her Resort 2018 collection for Swimsuits For All and I am obsessed! The collection which was shot in Belize and also features Model Philomena Kwao and sex educator Ericka Hart on the ad campaign, includes leopard one-pieces, mesh bikini tops, sexy cut-outs, and bold metallic colors which range between $78 and $150.

When asked what inspired the collection Gabi said “I’m loving deep jewel tones and metallics, and I wanted everything to have clean lines and a certain amount of simplicity, while still making an impact. Once the collection came together, there was definitely this immediate feeling that it would work really well in a jungle setting and everything kind of came together creatively from there! Of course, I always think about fit and support so those are the foundations of everything I create.”

I am definitely loving the jungle vibes and jewel tones, I can wait to get my hands the Jungle Swimsuit, Rockies Underwire Bikini and the Universe Maxi Dress. I especially love how all the styles create an image of boldness, confidence, and power.

Some other super exciting news came along with the launch, Gabi explained “The next big hurdle is really pushing intersectional representation—so not just seeing bigger light-skinned hourglass bodies but also more races, darker skin colors, different body types and abilities, and on a much more consistent basis. Diversity shouldn’t need a “special issue” or a themed runway–it should just be a natural part of casting and hiring.” So because of this they are having a casting call where they will select 9 lucky women to appear in the next shoot, if only I lived in LA!

I am planning or getting a few of the pieces, if you would like a photo look book or video haul, let me know in the comments below!
