A few months ago, Cacique Intimates flew me and a group of bloggers to their headquarters in Ohio to get a sneak peek at what they were working on for this year. They have so many cool things planned for this year, however the moment I saw their Pride collection I immediately knew that was something I wanted to be a part of.
For those of you that don’t know, my sister Christina, married her partner Jessica this past December. If you knew my sister Christina growing up, you would have never thought she would end up marrying a girl, to say she was boy crazy is the understatement of the year. But 5 years ago, she met Jess, and she changed her world. She changed our world for a matter of fact. Together they opened up our eyes to the fact that love happens when you least expect it and it comes in all forms, shapes, and sexes.
Because of this I wanted to celebrate them this month, and their love, so I asked them to join me in this project. I look at these pictures and burst with pride at how far we have come, not only as a family, but in society. Yes, there is still a long way to go, but everyday we get a little closer to accepting that Love is Love, and everyone deserves it. Thank you to Cacique for recognizing this and celebrating the curve in every rainbow!
