A Day In Palominito Cay, Puerto Rico

Welcome to Paradise! Thats exactly what it feels like once you have landed in Puerto Rico, like you are in paradise, and I had the pleasure of living in that paradise for many many years. To me Puerto Rico is not just home, its part of my very existence, part of me and what makes me the person I am today. It’s culture, its history, its food, but most importantly its people. There is a reason why they say that Puerto Rico is one of the happiest place in the world and that because of its people. Once you are here, you are part of the family and we make sure to give you an experience you will never forget.

One of the best parts of Puerto Rico is of course our beaches, our little 35 x 100 island is surrounded by some of the most gorgeous crystal clear waters you will ever see. Last September myself and a group of local bloggers set out to explore one of our many private islands, Palominito Cay, for a day of sun, fun and relaxation and had hands down one of the most amazing days ever. What made it even more meaningful? Just three days later Puerto Rico was hit by one of the most brutal hurricanes in its history, by looking at these pictures you would never know that just a few days later the entire landscape of our precious island would change.

I will forever treasure that day, being able to spend it with friends, enjoying the beauty of nature and of our home. Little by little Puerto Rico is getting back on its feet, our mountains are green again and our beaches are crystal clear. I encourage you to visit Puerto Rico so you too can experience the magic of our little island, I promise you won’t regret it. I am going back later this summer with a few friends and I can’t wait to show them everything we have to offer.
